For decades, the Beach Plaza Hotel stood as a fixture along Ocean City’s Boardwalk, welcoming generations of visitors to its prime location between 13th and 14th Streets on Atlantic Avenue. But as the city evolves, so too must its skyline. ISI Demolition recently had the opportunity to be part of this transformation, taking on the demolition of this well-known landmark.
Building Razing in the Heart of Ocean City
ISI Demolition was contracted by MHROC Property Owner LLC, a subsidiary of Kinsley Properties, to remove over 50,000 square feet of structures in just six weeks. The project involved the careful dismantling of a five-story hotel alongside a two-story apartment building, both of which served as a hallmark of the Ocean City Boardwalk for generations.
Our team utilized a 60-foot High-Reach excavator to bring down the five-story structure safely and efficiently. Given the location and surrounding businesses, precision was paramount. At the same time, we partnered with Absolute Demolition, a trusted local contractor, to handle the two-story portion of the hotel.
